Hi all! Because community is so important, wanted to share exciting news from the Wolcott Library. Personally, my history with the library goes back... okay carry the one... ummmm... a lot of years. I've shared that a favorite memory of grade school was when my classmates and I would get to walk uptown from school at lunchtime to pick out books from the 'old' library building. The library was an important part of my kids' growing up years and I recently completed 16 years serving as a library board member. From the "now it can be told" file - when I was asked to be part of the board, I was told that a goal was to be able to add on to the existing facility to better serve the community. So even though it took a considerable amount of time, it's exciting to be at this point and I'm so excited to see what the library will be able to offer with the increased space. I encourage all of us to chip in to support the library's addition! I'm personally grateful for so many things in this community and definitely one of those is the asset the library continues to be.
