Stimulus payment - and dealing with "What is."

A little snowy here in northwest Indiana this morning - not as pretty as this picture but you get the idea. Not a huge fan of snow - but snow makes me think of basketball, of which I am a huge fan. This whole 2020-21 thing has that a bit messed up though - realizing how much I miss going to local high school games, how bummed I have been when players have found themselves quarantined missing practices and games... I should add, I get it. I'm all about being safe and not quibbling one bit with the decisions that have been made, but still it's a bummer for the kids at best. Which - between the snow, the Covid-affected basketball season, etc., plus everything else we see around us - I could spend time/energy being mad about it, but to what end? The people I have appreciated working with most in various capacities in my career have been the ones who can assess 'where we are' and map out a plan for where we need to go. Instead of wandering through the wilderness, they figure out how to deal with 'what is' and take on the challenge analytically. Minimal drama, just looking for the best straight line path to a solution. One example of dealing with 'what is' at the moment is the stimulus payment. Regardless of what we think about it, it's what is. Didn't get yours? Check out the attached link for some decent 'starter' information - and feel free to reach out to me. There isn't always a 'straight line' to a solution in tax world but together, we'll do our best to find it. Have a blessed day! https://www.cnet.com/personal-finance/no-second-stimulus-check-yet-if-you-dont-get-it-soon-this-is-what-you-have-to-do/
