While there are a lot of issues brewing in tax world, it's summer time, so let's take a moment to acknowledge part of what has made the community I grew up in, live and work in, something kinda' special. For more than 50 years Wolcott, Indiana has held a summer festival - and after a break in 2020 for obvious reasons, the festival is back this year. I'd encourage you to check out the Wolcott Festival page on facebook; shown below is a summary of the Saturday events. It's noteworthy that this year the festival is July 2-3. So hey - we'll get back to what's bubbling in the crucible of tax world in coming days/weeks but for now - let's think about that free watermelon after the parade.... among other things that make small town summer festivals absolutely the best.
