May 15... with a thankful heart

Just taking a moment to be real - as many of you know, although I've done the 'tax thing' for almost 25 years this tax season was my first adventure into being full-on self-employed. And what a tax season it's been - the enactment of new legislation in March and its ripple effects has been a beast. And, the fact that IRS processing is way behind has made it seemingly impossible to get relatively easy things fixed. So it's easy to focus on things like that and let frustration build. But to do so would be to miss the important stuff. I can't begin to express how grateful I am for the opportunity to work with my clients/friends. It's the relationships that keep me excited about this. Granted, the occasional wins we've had along the way this tax season in getting wrongs righted with the IRS and other taxing authorities helps too. But those who know me, know I love this community and I so want to be a blessing to our friends and neighbors... and I love the idea of reaching beyond our community as well. So gratitude. THANK YOU for the opportunity to work with you thus far. THANK YOU to those who have passed along kind words about me and my business. Building trust and relationships matters so very much and I look forward to continuing to do so this summer and beyond. Side note, this is not some kind of swan song; I'm still full-on available at your convenience. Excited to see what the future holds and would welcome the chance to be a blessing/asset for you in any way I can!
