Let's gooooo Monday!!

Hey all! Trying to be more intentional about time management, focus and efficiency while still loving people as I believe we’re called to do. So I’m bringing Charlie the Cardinal (or a lookalike at least) into the game to provide us with hopefully a weekly brainstorm to help give us something to think about as we face the challenges of another week. Feel free to watch the video (link shown below), but the two things that hit me out of this (from a non-military background) are the concepts of being strategic vs. tactical. My takeaway is “strategic” looks like doing actions in the short term that are all about contributing to the long term goals and objectives. Big picture – long term – where we are going to end up. “Tactical” looks like doing what it takes to get us through the moment. Short term thinking – immediate action – what’s happening right now. In fairness life sometimes requires us to live short term. But if it comes down to “I really need this donut” – well, I probably don’t. Have a blessed Monday all!
