Hey all! So a few people have contacted me about the $650 (for married couples who qualify) Indiana refund checks which have started to hit mailboxes this week. Which is awesome for those of us who have received it, but is likely to leave the rest of us thinking "hey, where's my refund?" So I asked a representative of Indiana Department of Revenue. The answer - printers are backlogged, they print 50,000 checks per day. Checks will be issued for 1.6 million taxpayers - so we taxpayers doing math can see hmmmm, this may take a minute. The Department is asking that taxpayer do not contact them until after November if they do not receive the payment. Their goal is to complete the process in October.
