Check your withholdings -

Hi all - just a friendly note that at September 1, this is a GREAT time to check your year to date paycheck withholdings and make sure you're on track to avoid unpleasant surprises come April, 2022. Take a close look at federal withholdings - is the percentage withheld similar to last year; or if not, you know why not? For Indiana residents - make sure Indiana tax withheld is approximately 3.2% of your taxable income, or again, if not, you know why not. And - again for Indiana residents - county tax. One of the pain points of 2020 tax prep was when taxpayers discovered that no county tax was withheld. So yes, please take a look and feel free to reach out with any questions.
